Total Debt + Capitalized Lease Obligations (TDCLO)

What is it?

The total dollar value of outstanding debt and capitalized lease obligations (as opposed to operating leases) measured in thousands of dollars. A capital lease is recorded as a liability on the balance sheet measured as the present value of an obligation.

The financial community and investors.

What does it tell me? 

Investors use the total dollar value of outstanding debt and capital lease obligations to assess how much leverage or fixed obligations a company owes.
